هاتف الألعاب الأقوى!

With the increasing number of players on mobile platforms and the popularity of mobile games such as PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile, the topic of playing mobile games with high quality has become very important for mobile phone manufacturers. The world of phones is in a big race and the development process is so fast that it is difficult to comprehend. Even the issue of providing the highest specifications in a phone has become a strong confrontation for phone manufacturers. In terms of games, perhaps the creation of some phone manufacturers to design custom phones for gamers is the most prominent event.

There is no doubt that Asus laptops that sport the ROG name are among the best in gaming. Smartphones with the same brand are also some of the best. The Republic of Gamers Edition 5 brings with it a number of improvements. While retaining everything that was distinguished from the previous model.

A review in two minutes

The Asus ROG 5 is one of the best, if not the best, gaming phone out there. But it is also one of the best phones for watching any type of media due to its great screen, long battery life, fast charging, and excellent speakers. There are some great upgrades from the previous version of the phone, but best of all, they have brought back the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Unfortunately, the camera defects still haunt the phone, and even it did not improve on the previous ROG3 phone. Other features of the phone have improved until it competes with other Android phones in terms of general use. You can carry the phone and use it as a personal phone, but if you need a phone with a powerful camera, we do not recommend that.

On the design level, with the “gamer chic” angles found in previous phones but with more symmetrical lines in line with the back cover, ASUS offers a very impressive design that strikes balance. You can see the phone as a gaming phone design and at the same time as a stylish phone. The previous ROG 3 phone had a transparent window on the back of the phone looking out to the interior of the phone. In the powerful version of the new phone, it was replaced with a small OLED screen to display what you want. In the lower version, it was replaced by the illuminating ROG logo.

Phone ROG 5 is the first Asus phone to have three editions: Standard Edition, Asus ROG 5 Pro and Asus ROG 5 Ultimate. The latter two have slightly better specifications and the smaller OLED screens on the back cover. Not only aesthetic differences, but also differences in performance. For example, ROG 5 Ultimate comes with 18 GB of RAM. Okay 18 gig ram, isn’t it too much? actually yes. But ASUS appears to be trying to gain attention by introducing such a large number. In any case, it is not a bad thing. With this number you can keep loads of games and applications open simultaneously.

The standard version doesn’t come with an OLED screen on the back but it has lots of interesting improvements. With a battery capacity of 6000 mAh with a charging capacity of 65 watts, the phone recharges the battery in less than an hour! just awesome. With the side USB-C port, it’s even easier to charge the phone while playing games or watching movies. Amazing speakers! And headphone jack 3.5!

What about add-ons? Did we mention that the new version of the AeroActive Cooler 5 fan (included in the Pro and Ultimate case) has trigger buttons?

The ROG Phone 5 is the best version of ROG phones yet, and while it may not convince consumers who need what it can’t afford – zoom or low-light photography – it’s still a contender for a great all-around phone with powerful specs.

ROG 5 vs ROG 5 Pro vs ROG 5 Ultimate

In terms of specs, the standard ROG 5 comes in more than one version with 8-16 RAM and 128-256GB of storage. Asus ROG 5 Pro comes with one version: 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Asus ROG 5 Ultimate has 18GB RAM and 512GB storage. The storage capacity in any of them cannot be increased as there is no microSD slot.

In terms of design, in both the more expensive versions, instead of the plastic back cover, a stylish glass cover appears, and also instead of the RGB logo, you will find a small OLED screen (about 1 inch) that can display a customizable message or logo.

The Pro and Ultimate both have something else not available in the standard version: a pair of touch sensor strips on the back of the phone that act like extra buttons. It’s long but narrow, and frankly it’s a lot more difficult to play with than the shoulder buttons. They can be reached with your pinky and ring fingers, just a gentle touch is enough to make them respond.

Other than that, all three phones are identical: the same screen, the same Snapdragon 888 processor, Adreno 660 GPU, 6000mAh battery and 65W charger included in the box.

As for performance, comparing the standard ROG 5 with 16GB of RAM and ROG 5 Ultimate with 18GB of RAM and as expected, their performance was nearly identical, although the Standard Edition performed better on the Geekbench benchmark. Multicore 5: 3732 vs 3678 for ROG 5 Ultimate.

Asus ROG Phone 5 screen

Asus ROG 5 has a 6.78-inch HD (2440 x 1080) AMOLED display with HDR10 + support capable of displaying crisp images and vivid colors. The front camera is housed in a thin black tape, which is a refined movement to avoid notch.

In general, the screen is very clear, but the only bad thing is that the images lose clarity in very dark shadow areas. Of course, ROG 5 Full HD Plus doesn’t produce as sharp a picture as phones with high-resolution displays. But overall, a good ROG 5 display is almost better than many of the other flagship smartphones out there.

The real benefit for gamers is the 144Hz refresh rate, gamers can play more smoothly when playing games that support high frame rates. The screen has a touch sampling rate of 300Hz, and responds to finger pressure much faster than most phones.

Asus ROG Phone 5 camera

The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a modest set of cameras for its price, and unfortunately it does not have a telephoto lens for zoom. Although the main high-resolution lens is capable of capturing images sharp enough to zoom in, it is not a substitute for the type of zoom that the Space Zoom-packing feature in the Samsung Galaxy S20 and S21 has.

Asus ROG has 5 rear cameras: a 64-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with 125 degrees, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. There is a 24MP front camera that does quite well.

ROG 5 shoots decent photos in broad daylight, capturing a vivid array of colors and a decent level of clarity, although it doesn’t rival top-tier phones like the iPhone 12 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus.

ROG 5 can shoot up to 8K video at 30 fps, 4K video at 60 fps (or 30 fps with the Ultra Wide Camera), 4K slow-motion video at 120 fps, and still capture images while Video shooting.

What matters to players: hardware and software

The company in ROG phones improved the phone in all respects to be more attractive to the average consumer, but it focused on games so that the ROG 5 phone is the best gaming phone so far. The new phone contains the best hardware and drivers for games that can be found in phones today.

If you’ve used the Asus ROG 3 in the past, not much will change for you: the phone still has roughly the same set of hardware and drivers. There are two ultrasound buttons on the top and bottom of the right side. It responds better and easier than previous ROG phones, and you can customize it for any game you play.

Armory Crate has not changed somewhat – it’s still a repository for all your games with more ways to customize how your phone plays for each particular game. With the performance-optimized X-Mode you can maximize the performance of your games.

There are new mobile software functionality while playing, too: Game Genie features a more understandable interface, and there’s a new esports mode that disables distracting notifications and any other app (you can set it in the Game Genie’s in-game menu) to keep you left while you play.

Regarding accessories, two buttons have been added in AeroActive Cooler 5, similar to the lower buttons on the back on consoles for consoles. Although it is new and gives a nice feel while clicking, it is not easily accessible so it will work better with occasional actions like stretching or jumping.

In general, the huge specifications of the Asus ROG 5 from its impressive display, hardware and software utilities in games, and respectable battery life all come together for a better gaming experience than any other phone on the market at the present time.

The battery life of the Asus ROG Phone 5

Asus ROG 5 has a battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh and has been redesigned internally to achieve better charging performance. Instead of a 6000mAh battery, the ROG 5 has two 3000mAh batteries placed on either side of the CPU, allowing the phone to recharge faster while charging both batteries at the same time. More than two-thirds (4,400 mAh) of the battery can be recharged in 30 minutes using a 65-watt charger, Asus said. Splitting the battery and moving it away from the CPU also reduces heat. This way the phone generates 46% less heat while its battery is fully charged, Asus says.

There’s also a new battery saving mode that enables you to conserve the most energy possible. In this mode the CPU and GPU are running at a low pace, the screen refresh rate is reduced to 60Hz and background processes are restricted to extend battery life.

Should I buy the Asus ROG Phone 5?

Buy it if

You want the best gaming phone

It can be said that Asus ROG 5 is one of the best gaming phones due to its specifications, software and accessories. If you like mobile games, there aren’t much better options.

You love to watch movies on your phone

Some of the same things that make the Asus ROG 5 a good gaming phone also make it great for movies: a good screen, great speakers, and a giant battery that recharges quickly using the internal 65W charger. And the 3.5mm headphone jack.

You would hate running out of battery

There are quite a few phones that have a battery of 6000 mAh and the Asus ROG 5 is one of them. You can recharge faster than other phones due to the split battery (2 3000 mAh batteries) and 65W charger.

Don’t buy it if

You want a phone with a powerful camera

It is no secret that Asus ROG 5 lags behind other flagship phones in the subject of camera. Consider iPhone 12 or Samsung Galaxy S21 if you prefer photography in your phones.
